How to enable tinymce on a CCK text field?

Hi,
I've set up a CCK content type with a 1 row text field. I cannot see how to get tinymce enabled for it. TinyMCE is available on the body.
The closest I got was enabling the Input format for the field, and I can set it to Rich Text, which I created for my tinymce type. When I select it, nothing happens. The settings enable users to hide/show tinyMCE; there is no such option on the text field.
