I was thinking of this situation for a school website:

------------------------------------------
Authenticated users (pupils) always publish content-types that are private by default
(ie. only auth users can see them). For this I'm using the 'privacy by node' module.

A teacher will then select 10-20 various nodes connected with a particular subject, and
will change the access to these nodes to 'public' so parents can view them.

The nodes are collated by adding them to a book outline so parents can view and navigate the 'project'.
Eg. there might be a blog post with discussion in the comments, a forum topic, a wiki page, an
organic group, etc all pulled into one navigable book outline.
-------------------------------------------

However, having now seen the e-publish module I'm re-thinking the use of 'book outlines'.
In the above situation, can you see any clear advantages or disadvantages of using e-publish
instead of book outlines?

Thanks.
