Content Profile Extension Module

Hi Fago...I totaly understand the concept of extensibility and keeping this module efficient at what it does, but I am desperate for user registration integration. I'm looking for content profile nodes to be created at the registration process, which than I can have functioning as dashboards.

I have tried to solve it using the "autoassignrole" module in combination with "rolespecific node" module, but the later is in alpha stage. It just isn't working. I'm pretty sure node profile, bio or usernode will not see the light of day on drupal 6.

What could, or would, be the right course of action when you need a content profile created at registration?

I remember with workflow-ng I could also create nodes at registration, but with actions/trigger it does not have this option either.

Sorry, long post...any short thoughts?
