DBFM works fine. Great module. But once a file is uploaded, how do I attach it to a node, or create a link to it?

Please note:
- I have not installed any WYSIWYG editor.
- I tried the Create link and Embed image options, but it seemed to do nothing

The create link and embed image options should have generated a line of HTML in your node?
Try the demo site:
http://dbfmdemo.lineageone.com/

if you go to create content and create a Page then disable rich text you should be able to see it working
