I'm using Drupal 6.2. My site is getting very weird lately - in some nodes, comments are not shown. For example, in http://leapon.net/en/i-wish-every-employer-is-like-google you can see the comments but in http://leapon.net/en/windows-vista-and-ubuntu-804-first-looks you cannot.

I've made sure that this is not a theming issue as it still happens when I switch to Garland. I have also cleared the cache tables to no avail. If that's not weird enough, the comment submission form always appear as usual...

Between the last time the site was ok and the time I found the issue I didn't install any modules or themes.

Does someone has a hint about what is going on here?

PS: I cannot find nodes that have > 2 comments and are showing them. But I don't see why comment count can be a problem...

...but I have not yet found the cause or the solution.
I have noticed this in our forums. Some forums with topics with comments no longer show the comments. The particular comments I have noticed are missing are 26+ weeks old. They have been there all that time and now suddenly are not showing. But other topics are still showing their comments... Running Drupal 5.8.

as I can see you solved your problem,
may you share how you find a way out?

I've just bumped with the same question -
My comments partial dissapeared.

Before that I've moved to D6,
but now on the local version is still everithing OK,
while I have such troubles on the server.

oh. I found what is the problem it was.
I don't actually know how it might have happend
but in the Users table uid for anonymous was changed to 5,
while it must be 0.
