Hi

I have a problem - I can 'feel' the power that Drupal has, but I just can't figure out how to harness it.

I'm setting up a site that has a directory section. I thought that by using the taxonomy of drupal this would be quite easy. However, I've trawled through the forum and followed some threads, and still can't quite see how to implement it.

The way that I'd like it to work would be:

Directory page
- Category1
- + sub category1
- + sub category2
- + sub category3

- Category2
- + sub category1
- + sub category2
- + sub category3

I know that some of you reading this will be shaking your heads, rolling your eyes and wondering what kind of idiot I am, but once you've got over that initial reaction, a quick walk-through would be very very much appreciated! Previously I've been using LucidCMS (which is fantastic and very easy to pick up, but doesn't have the feature-set that Drupal offers) and Textpattern.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom that you can impart.

It can be done, Taxonomy can be orgranized as Main category list and subcategory list, like yahoo or dmoz directory structures

I do something like you need for my page.

I don't use taxonomy for the categories, instead each category is a book and a simple PHP script creates the index listing every book and its first level pages.
