Could you share a dev release of the drupal 5 version of the views module. The last release (1.6) is over a year old and I am running into a lot of issues with it that already have patches including:
http://drupal.org/node/183191
http://drupal.org/node/239594

This may help fix some problems with the 5.x-2 versions of the date & calendar modules, too, which currently have some workarounds to deal with views 5.x-1.6 bugs.

The 5.x-1.x-dev release is available here: http://drupal.org/node/101135 -- it's always available from the 'view all releases' link.

There is no 5.x-2.x version.

I am requesting a release based on the latest sources in cvs.

The dev release you pointed to is from 2006, even older than the last official release.

I attached my copy below, although it still contains some issues not completely fixed.

No, -dev releases are updated every 12 hours. The date you refer to is the date the -dev release was created.

Last updated: May 10, 2008 - 16:16

That's the last time I checked anything into the 1.x branch.

Ok then, how about we try this.

Do you mind putting a link to your dev release from the project page like other projects do it. The -dev release is marked 2006, and is many pages down on the 'view all releases' page, below even the drupal 4 releases.

In case that is not clear enough, I am specifically requesting you put a direct link to this file:
http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/views-5.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz
on this page:
http://drupal.org/project/views

Thanks

Sorry, no, I won't do that.

The Views issue queue is massive, and putting the -dev version out there encourages more people to download it and generates even more issues when something is committed that hasn't been fully tested. And that happens more often than it probably ought. So no, I won't do this. You can find this dev version if you need it, as can everyone else.
