We just launched our 1.0 site www.artsforla.org and I am looking for some god honest feedback - it's okay if it's brutally honest, but please also be constructive. I want the truth... the whole truth, etc.
Thanks in advance for sharing.

Honestly, it's too slow. If you have done everything you can do within Drupal, try another hosting company. You are in LA -- look at SimpleHelix.com for hosting. Their servers are fast and their support responsive.
Other than that, it is attractive enough but I wasn't willing to wait for more than a couple of page loads. At almost midnight on the weekend, there isn't much network traffic and it was taking more than 7 seconds/page on DLS. To give you an idea, I have a very complex system with a little JS animation on the front, nice menus and about 50 menu items and sub items and I am getting 3 second page loads.
Good job. Thanks for doing something to make the world more beautiful!!
Speed is indeed an issue.
I am a newbie at this - so quite frankly I thought it just came with the territory. Our webmaster is hosting the site on her server in Portland. Switching over to a more robust environment sounds like good solid advice.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts!

I think you need to spend a bit more time on your typography. Maybe try a different font for your post titles. All in all a good design.

Thank you! I have to say, I kind of agree. We are currently using Verdana as the default. Do you recommend another web-based font that might work better.
