If I create some content, then later edit and save it, the content somehow gets marked as "NEW" in the Content Management > Content section that lists all content in the site. Anyone know why they stay "NEW" forever as far as I can tell? Whats the point if everything ever edited is "NEW"?
The place I am talking about is found here on a local machine using clean urls: http://localhost/admin/content/node
I guess its really just an annoyance, but it makes me feel like I'm missing something that I should know. Please advise if you have any insight!

as long as you do not visit the article. I guess that's more visible in the admin panel.
