Issue Summary
I'd like to tell scheduler to use the date from a field in the content type.
ie
reference the project due date
perhaps a schedular cck field?
the token module a possibility?

Scheduler is currently under heavy reconstruction ;-) Your request will have to wait until after that...

It is currently not planned to implement such a feature.
