I have installed this on my sandbox drupal 5.7 site. It works fine.
I have tried to make it work in drupal 5.8 site and I can not make it engage. It will not load the dynamic_persistent_menu.js file for some reason.
I am not sure what is going on. I will try re-installing it.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

It works here:
drupal 5.7
MySQL database 5.0.37
PHP 5.2.1

but not here:
drupal 5.7
MySQL database 5.0.24a
PHP 5.2.6

I have changed my drupal 5.8 site back to 5.7. The module works very nicely (after a bit of fooling around with it)

It definitely has a problem with the 5.8 upgrade.

It's a known bug with Drupal 5.8. You should upgrade.
