Really confused about how to get this.....

Hi all...
my first post...It's 10 days I'm playing with drupal, and have created a nice small 'private' online community...
The harder part now is that users would like to have their own galleries, and I'm getting really confused about the 'gallery' support in drupal...
Basically, the idea is that any registered user could create any gallery, giving it a title and a description; he/she should be them able to upload a certain number of images to his/her gallery, give a title and optionally a description to each image. All of this should be really 'user friendly' (something like the galleries you can create on myspaces)
all the other users should be able to access any of the other users' galleries, browse the images, and comment any of them....
Image... gallery2... brilliant gallery...pblog?????
What to use? But above all... how??? At present I use pblog for 'reportages' about the events of the community, but no comment is allowed in the single image (only in the pblog entry)...
Any help is really appreciated...
