Hello -- Thanks for your work on this module. I use it on all of my drupal 5 installations and think it is just great! I would like to know if you still have plans to port to Drupal 6?
The 6.x version is now running on multiple websites to test its stability. The 6.x module uses Drupal's new schema API, adds finer grained permissions, and has a cleaner menu structure.
There are a few modules that do not implement the new schema API - causing the mysqldumps to miss tables. Some error checking code needs to be added to detect these cases and warn the user.
Put me down as another person waiting to test...this module sounds very sophisticated and flexible...both critical qualities when dealing with something as important as backups!
So is this now basically a dead module? This thread mentions that it was being worked on at the end of 2008? The description sounds like it would be better than Backup Migrate/Backup Migrate Files, but it looks like it's a dead project...
A D6 version was mentioned as being tested. Did it fail?
Stephen, good timing. We have just finished cleaning up and completely refactoring backup client for release. I'm on vacation this weekend but will release this code next week.

jpsalter commentedYou're welcome.
I do not plan to port to Drupal 6 for another month or so. But, I am happy to apply patches and release a version 6 branch.

jpsalter commentedThanks for the ping. It is on my todo list. I'd expect it done by the end of the year. If not - please bug me again.
