Files to download DBFMTestWord.doc file size 25Kb and DTP Test Dot.dot file size 24Kb.
In 'Settings for eSurf Administrators', the 'Exceptions to excluded file extensions:' has no prefix to the doc extension (initial default value?). When attempting to upload the doc file, an error message states that the file extension is not valid for upload.
In 'Settings for eSurf Administrators', the 'Exceptions to excluded file extensions:’ I set –doc to remove the file extension from the exclusion list. On attempting to upload the doc file, I get the following error messages:
“File is not valid for upload - DBFMTestWord.doc exceeds the max filesize”
“DBFMTestWord.doc cannot be uploaded, because it exceeded the maximum filesize of 0 bytes”
I then attempted to upload the dot file, this has no prefix to the dot extension (initial default value in the 'Exceptions to excluded file extensions:’?) and I get the following error messages:
“File is not valid for upload - DTP Test Dot.dot exceeds the max filesize.”
“DTP Test Dot.dot cannot be uploaded, because it exceeded the maximum filesize of 0 bytes.”
The ‘Maximum file size per upload:’ is set to 10 Mb and in 'Settings for eSurf Administrators', the Maximum file size per upload: is set to 25 Mb.
On setting +doc to add the file extension to the exclusion list and attempting to upload the doc file, I get the file size error messages.
Resetting the defaults within DBFM Settings, then in settings –doc to remove this file extension from the exclusion list. On attempting to upload the doc and dot files, I get the file size error messages.
Note also, that resetting the defaults within DBFM Settings clears all values from the ‘Exceptions to excluded file extensions:’ and ‘Maximum file size per upload:’ parameters rather than setting them to default values.
