Possible to enter views data string into cck field?

HI all,
From a raw input of a 13 digit ISBN, I have figured out how to convert it into a 10 digit ISBN and display it in views. I converted it to 10 digits to work with the CCK module ASIN, but I haven't figured out how to get it into the field. Is there a way, using PHP or any other method to feed the 10 digit ISBN Views string into the Content Type ASIN field?
