I just updated to Drupal 5.8 and am now unable to login with any LDAP based users. Normal Drupal users login fine. The LDAP users simply receive the "Sorry, unrecognized username or password" error.
I updated a few other modules yesterday as well, but was able to login afterwards. Only after the Drupal update did the login stop working, but I'm willing to entertain any theories.

Anyone else have this issue? Does the most recent dev version solve it?

I applied the patch to the LDAP module as listed in #21 of the discussion linked above (http://drupal.org/node/280720) and everything appears back to normal. Thanks!
