I would like this module to be ported to Drupal 6. Creating an issue to track this, per my discussion with mac_perlinski.

Submitting a patch to port to Drupal 6 per discussion with mac_perlinski:
- Add "core = 6.x" to googleajaxsearch.info file
- Update function signature for googleajaxsearch_help() for Drupal 6
- Update googleajaxsearch_menu() to conform to new Drupal 6 menu system. Requires moving $maycache code to new Drupal 6 hook, googleajaxsearch_init(). Also requires refactoring macro permission code into its own (one-line) function.

Anyone made further progress with this. Would be useful to have in Drupal 6.

I tried applying this patch and was told that hunk failed on line 1. No luck.

good stuff! I think google make their keys longer now because the text book on the configuration page isn't long enough to handle the key
