Just thought this would be of interest:

I dont really get the point

I dont really get the point of this, it looks horrid and theres no reason someone should not just use jQuery UI

Re: One could just use jQuery

I did not want to import the dimensions plugin, plus a tooltip plugin, when I already had
a good tooltip script (much shorter, clearer AND more changeable, for those who want to
customize and, for example, have different tooltip styles for each tooltip).

About the way it the Universal Builder looks. It pretty much looks exactly like it would have
to look to do what it does. I suspect you didn't figure out what it does. The PRODUCTS made
(and that is the whole idea) can be as beautiful as your imagination.

What did I do, steal some work from you?

A quick P.S. (and recall I allowed for cool customizability)

For those concerned with quality, you should know that outside of the d/d plugin and the core
jQuery (both well established), the remaining code passes JSLint perfectly (when one function call
to jQuery is commented out; ok, technically I do have some instances of extra parentheses in the
code, but I like them and if you are a programmer you will know they are fine).

ALSO: the jar.com reviewers have reviewed the program and gave it their "Top 5%" rating
(specifically, 950/1000 points, losing points only for originality -- though as far as I know, it
is the only Builder of its specific kind).

Again, in addition to making the program smaller, the way I did it allows for some really cool
customization, if one desires.

Anyhow, you're welcome.

Drag Drop Maker, submitting results, SCORM compliant

To add such funtionality to my program would take a few lines of code, a hidden field, a Done
button, and an easy php script to send the results (all drops by all draggables over all drop
targets, in the order they occurred) to the server. Still waiting for someone to give a darn.

If someone else wants to do this work, please let me know of your results. Feel free to email me, and I will do a second version of the program. lorlarz@gmail.com

Sometimes you want something other than drag-and-drop

lorlarz - August 11, 2008 - 17:36

Sometimes you want something other than drag-and-drop, for sure.
Here is a builder for one common alternative (a free automatic
matching activity builder - impossible for something to be easier to use):
