I have always been curious why there is no manual ordering in taxonomy in drupal?
isn't that a key part of managing content, putting it in the order you want?

I dont see a node weight
I dont see a node weight
for example, if you are using taxonomies as categories for your content, how would you order it so this article would be first followed by the next
you would need a node weight inside each taxonomy
I will try nodeque but nodeorder is the only thing i have seen close but to me this seems obvious it should be part of Drupal itself
to manage content it should be displayed, in submitted time, alpha order, or some sort of manual order

Everyone thinks the feature they need "obviously" should be part of core. If we followed that, core would be a 100MB download. That's what contrib is for.
