I justed started using this great module on my site. When I had the site offline by enabling Site Maintenance I could not get the module to work. However, after I placed the site in online mode it worked just fine. Just thought you might want to know about this and see if it behaves the same on your site. It might be worth telling users about this in your Readme.txt file.

This module is only for anomynous user and of course can not work when your site in maintenance status.
