Hi,
Nice work on this module, I like it.
There seems to be a problem updating the module from CVS, when I updated to 6.x-2.3.1 the update ran fine but my update status page shows the following even after being refreshed:
Link 6.x-2.3-1
Recommended version: 6.x-2.3.1 (2008-Jul-19)
* Download
* Release notes
Includes: Link
Perhaps the wrong version number is being supplied to the module?

quicksketchThanks, I changed the version number for Link to "2.3.1" instead of "2.3-1". Hopefully that'll clear things up.

rob_connolly commentedThanks for that quicksketch, unfortunately it doesn't seem to have fixed the problem! My update manager is still saying that link needs updating, I even tried deleting my current version and reinstalling from CVS.
Any ideas what's going on?

Shai commentedNate -- this same phenomenon is happening on the D5 branch as well.
Thanks for a great module!

jhriggs commentedYou are improperly using the "extra" field in the version. It should not be a number. You should bump to 2.4 instead of using 2.3.1. The extra field is designed for strings (e.g. "beta1", "rc2", etc.). See this issue as well as:

quicksketchYeah, I'm aware of what the extra field is *supposed* to be used for. It seems my little experiment with minor version numbers has not gone over well due to Update Status module. I'm releasing a 2.4 version tonight to solve the problem.
