Can someone please help me understand how to set up the following relationship with CCK?
I have set up three Content types: Farmers, Pigs, and Butchers

In the end, I want a one-to-many relationship between the Farmers and the Pigs, and a one-to-many relationship between the Butchers and the Pigs.
The premise of the site is pretty simple. The farmer lists all his pigs on the website. Butchers browse the website and purchase pigs they want.
I've worked out how to create the custom content types, but I can't figure out how to create the relationships between them. Can anyone help? (FWIW, I have a good understand of databases but am new to Drupal)

Node Reference
Have you already checked out the Node Reference field type which comes with CCK? If you go to "Add Field" for one of your content types it should be listed.
