Description

Hi
I'm a newbie to Drupal and so am on a steep learning curve. I have created my own theme based on the Zen module and am configuring the site now. I have just installed Site Documentation and it gives me an error message just below the summary saying 'Blocks defined for non-existent theme(s)'. I've done a general search for this term and cannot find anything. As far as I'm concerned I have only 'created' one new block so far and my theme is OK, although I have put in a support request to the Zen guy today saying that when I ran Cron, it said that the Zen module was out of date, but am assured by him that it isn't.
Can you tell me where to start looking to understand where this error message may have come from?

Thanks
Rowena Padel

first zen isn't a module, it is a theme.

when you created your own theme based on zen, how exactly did you do it ? did you start hacking away at zen itself ? or make a copy of zen and hack the copy ?

Blocks defined for non existant themes. did you at any time assign blocks to a theme and then remove the theme ?
Do you get the same type of error on a default core theme ?

have you tried clearing cache in administer -> performance ?
have you tried checking the DB manually to see what may be going on ?

Sorry, I did know that about Zen theme/module - just a typo.

No, I didn't hack the original code, I made a copy of Zen and in the sites/default folder and hacked away that.

I did start out calling my theme something else, but quickly found out that it didn't like the theme name starting with a number (my client's name starts with a numeric), so I undid everything and then started again. I did not get as far as doing anything with blocks before I restarted the process.

I have gone into the administer>performance and it is not set to cache the blocks (or anything else) at the moment, however, I cleared the cache - just in case. No difference.

I must admit I'm not quite sure where to start looking in the database tables - I could see that there isn't one for themes, I believe they are picked up by the presence of a .info file aren't they.

Thanks very much for your time on this - much appreciated!

All Ok now.
Thanks ever so much for the steer on the databases. I had a look in the blocks table and sure enough, blocks had been assigned to the original theme I tried to create. I backed up my database and then removed the entries and the error message has disappeared.

Your help on this is much appreciated.
Regards
Rowena
