After running the installer script, the system gave me this error message:
sites/default/files does not exist ...

I've read the documentation and changed the permissions, but I'm still getting this error message. I'd really appreciate any help with this. Thanks.

----Steps I've already done---
1. Changed the permissions of sites>default to 777
2. Made a copy as stated in the instructions/documentation http://drupal.org/server-permissions

make a folder called 'files' in the sites/default folder

and set it to 777
