Weird cron issue....running cron from tab screws things up...

Manually induced cron jobs work fine. Automated cron jobs run from cPanel don't.

When I navigate to domain.com/cron.php and then go to my memetracker, i get glorioius memes all the way down the page.

When I visit the memetracker after an automated cron job run from my cron tab, I instead get what appears to be a list of the latest feed items. No clumping at all.

If I then manually run a cron update, i get my memes back...,.at least until the next auto cron job.

How do I fix this? What could be the problem?

I could hire a small child to visit the cron page every 10 minutes. But I'd rather keep my overhead down.
