i like this idea. to capture and store specific node/add pages (& submitted forms), & when gears reconnects it creates the nodes.

does anyone else have suggestions on this?

It is a feature that we introducir.But we are now finalizing the module to upgrade the branch 6.x. To come out a new version of google gears 0.4. This version has interesting features that can be used for what they say in your comments.

Gears will not support it, because gears is abandoned by Google. Future is HTML5.
