Hey Michelle,
It's been awhile and the advprofile has been going great. However to make it easier for users and for sitewide refrence, I was wondering how I could command advanced profile to use an imagecache preset I created for uprofile (added a new image field in content type uprofile, and set the display fields to a teaser size and full node size which I created in imagecache) as the sitewide user profile picture, and one mini-panel "all about user" uses. (since advprofile is over-ridden I figure this maybe can be done?).
This would be especially helpful as the user profile picture prompt shows up in the advanced profile fields instead of in an "edit" tab, for the core drupal profile (inferior to advanced profile), forcing the users to maintain 2 seperate pages for their profile.
It also would allow me to easily set thumbnail sizes when listing users as teasers.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

rc2020 commentedOkay, solved my own problem:
What you need to do (anyone who wants this functionality), they need to download ImageCache profiles, its a drupal module. Install it, follow the readme instructions, and it'll set the imagecache preset as the default image profile, and allow to create an avatar.
Im closing this issue.
