hi,

is it possible to completely remove the preview images? i don't want to keep all the huge original images, so i resize them to 680x680, so they have only about 300 - 400 kb.
but since the original images are so small, i don't need the preview.

is there a way to remove it?

Go to admin/settings/image and change the "Preview" option height and width to some extreme large number like 6000. No preview will be generated if Image size is smaller than it :)
