Issue Summary
Having just installed Google CSE, I'm not quite sure how to describe this concisely, and it may just be one or more user issues. Here goes.
Under Firefox 3, when I conduct a search via the installed block, it jumps to the "Google" tab and displays no results for a valid word. But clicking on "Content" or "Users" will reveal good results on those tabs. Also, the "Advanced Search" area is visible on both the second "Google" tab as well as the fourth "Content" tab.
Under IE7 for the same scenario, it jumps to a URL similar to "http://qa.MYSITE.com/search/google/MYTERM?query=MYTERM&....." (partial URL, plus "MYTERM" is obviously the term I entered) and shows a "page not found" error. Also unlike with FF3, the Advanced Search area is visible on this tab. Clicking the other tabs under IE7 seem fine across the board.
In both cases, the results look pretty good so long as I view the "Content" tab.
For the record, I studied the configuration and I think it's configured correctly, my site is indexed properly and that I have Restricted Search but have not locked anything down that relates to what I've searched for.
I'll leave it there for now, although I'm sure I need to provide additional info.

Sorry, I incorrectly stated something and left a few things out.
1. "Advanced Search" collapsed area is actually not visible under the default second tab under FF3. Even when I navigate between tabs and back to this tab. Under IE7, as I stated above, it is initially visible and is still visible when I navigate between tabs and back to this tab.
2. The URL I quoted for IE7 above looks similar to the FF3 one (not sure why I bothered mentioning it).
3. This issue is for 6.x-1.1, not 6.x-1.x-dev as I indicated when I created this issue.
4. Related modules currently installed: Google CSE 6.x-1.1, Google CSE search 6.x-1.1, Search Engine Referers 6.x-1.0, Search ranking 6.x-0.x-dev, Restricted Search 6.x-1.x-dev.

Ah, finally figured out my mistake.
Not being very familiar yet with GCSE, I had not understood what I was reading when I came across the "Search domain" configuration entry and had entered my site's domain, in error. It simply didn't occur to me what use listing another domain there could have. Now of course I realize generally what this is supposed to be for.
Would it make sense to add another line somewhere in the text under that field to this effect? It currently says "Enter the Google domain to use for search results, e.g. www.google.com." which could easily be misinterpretted by others who are not yet familiar with all the other Google apps and services. Sometimes a little extra context goes a long way.

If you have a suggestion please post it here. I'm not sure what else to say -- it seems pretty clear to me. I suppose I could add some validation to check for the string "google" in the domain name -- assuming that every Google domain does contain the string "google".
