the very next release is just an update to support drupal 5.8. not super interesting. this should happen in the next couple of days. i'm hoping to fix the functional issues with path cache and some others at this point.
i'd like the following release to fix the issue with node cache and sites with many roles, and to provide more transparent integration with memcache - currently there are a lot of memcache-isms in the code that reduce performance for users without memcache.
finally, i've got a bunch of enhancements to comment and forum caching that i will commit to the dev branch and will let everyone consider for awhile before making a release.
