How does this differ from Weblinks?

Nancy started a comparison of links page modules and I added Janode as one of the modules that performs this service.
I maintain Userlink, and I'd like to see at least one of these modules disappear (preferably mine) but I want to make sure there is a simple drop-it-in-and-it-works option for folks.
