I'm in the process of setting up a test site for drupal6 and to see what modules are available in the new version.

I am finding it increasingly slow to find the modules' pages.

Can we have a search box for modules because if we search for a module name in the search box, you get atricles from the forum.

Perhaps the module page could be at the top of the list, or perhaps we could search like:

"module:[modulename]" and replace [modulename] with the name of the module you were looking for.

Also, if you try and display the modules by name, then the page is so long, and sometime even times out before it loads.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences?
What about the drupal.org development team? Can anyone comment please?

Perhaps I am missing something.

Many thanks in advance.

John

Try http://drupal.org/search/node, and use the advanced search to limit by the content type 'project' That will limit it to primarily modules and themes.

I agree. Here's 2 links for you:

great example of what can be done: http://www.drupalmodules.com

I know this is not drupal.org but I use http://drupalmodules.com/ for module searches.
It is fast, accurate and convenient.

I think John did an excellent job with the site.
(I'll use this opportunity to thank him..)

Thanks John!
