When I post a new blog entry I get an error saying it failed to post to ping.fm. I have checked the blog entry from the ping.fm settings page and added my application key. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

robloachDid you set your user application key in your user profile and your developer key in the settings page?
STyL3 commentedI actually did not have my application key set in my user profile, which I have now done (thanks). However, I still get an error when I try and post a new blog entry. In the ping.fm settings (within Drupal), I have the app key as well. It is titled Developer Key, however in fine print below it, it says "global application key".
What is supposed to go here? and how do i obtain it?

robloachThe Developer key (admin/settings/pingfm) is what you get when you submit an application here: http://ping.fm/developers/
The application key (user) is what you get when you visit http://ping.fm/key/ .

STyL3 commentedI have gone ahead and submitted an application, but according to ping.fm this should no longer be the process.
I'm guessing the module just hasn't bee updated since they changed their policy. Thanks for the help though!

robloachBy using this module, you're using a web application that YOU create and host. Although Dmitri and I wrote the code for this module, we're not the ones hosting the application that you build with it. I'll talk to Seamoss and see if we implemented it correctly. I'd be happy to give you developer API key, but I think that's working backwards.... Has your API key been approved?
I just tested it one my site and it is working correctly for me.... If I make a new blog post on http://www.robloach.net , it sends an announcement to Ping.fm. If I visit Ping.fm, and point the custom URL to my website like instucted, I can make blog posts from Ping.fm. http://pownce.com/RobLoach/notes/2911577/ ....... I deleted the post on my site....

STyL3 commentedAll is well. I received my API key today. I understand what you are saying about the application "being mine" since I'm hosting it. It makes sense and THANKS!
