My File System is set to Private, the avatar gallery image does not show up.
The page source reads: /var/www/drupalfiles/avatar_gallery.jpg
With private FS it should be: /system/files/avatar_gallery.jpg

I switched to Public File System since then,
so I am now closing this issue.
