Here is my scenario. I am trying to expand my blogging options.
Currently I have about 20 users that each have their own blog. I’d like to add some additional blogs like “Tip of the Day”, and “Photo of the Day”.
I would like some users to be able to contribute to “Tip of the Day”, but not “Photo of the Day”, and a different set of users that contribute to “Photo of the Day” and not “Tip of the Day”. You get the idea.
Also, I would like a blog post that is part of “Tip of the Day” also to be included in that user’s own blog.
My solution so far is to look to rely on taxonomy & taxonomy roles. I create a category for each Blog, with the terms, yes & no, and a role for each blog “Role – Photo of the Day blogger”, etc, and assign permissions, and that’s pretty much it.
My concern is all these different roles and categories will get cumbersome as I add more unique blogs and more users. Does anyone have tips on how to better set this type of blogging system up?
Thanks,
Spencer
