gordon commentedBasically you can use this as a style in a view which will refer to a mini panel, and pass the node as the context.

leo.ruffini commentedSame question here.
I installed the module and activated it but...now what?
Can you please provide step-by-step instructions on how to use it?
gordon commentedAll you do is create mini panel which can have a requirement for a node context and then these will appear as a style which can be used as the style of a view.
If you doesn't appear in the style drop down then clear the cache and the mini panel will appear in styles of the view.

dropchew commentedHi,
Do you have an example? Thanks

leo.ruffini commentedHi Gordon,
I've created a regular View to show all nodes from a particular content type. It works.
I have also created a two column minipanel which, as you say, I can select as a style in "View Type". So it works, too.
Now, how do I set the minipanel context and content to have the view showing that list of nodes with the minipanels style? If I select "node" as "required context" all I get is the first node repeated again and again in the first column!
I know I'm missing something! But what?
Please, help! Your module seems to be very helpful but I don't know how to use it.

gordon commentedYou just need to add a required context of a node to the mini panel and then you are able to add the node content fields to the view.

leo.ruffini commentedSorry, Gordon, but I still don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I will try to explain again my steps:
1.- I create a regular View. It shows a list of all nodes of a particular content type. It works fine.
2.- I create a two columns Mini Panel called "testing". Added it a "node" in "Required context" called "node testing"
3.- I go to edit the View and select "testing" in "View Type".
If now I save the view all I see is the first node of the list repeated again and again in the first column and then nothing in the second column.
Am I missing something? Do I have to add an argument to the View? Is this a bug?
Drupal 5.10
Panels version: 5.x-2.0-rc1a
Views version: 5.x-1.6
Thanks,
Leo

booddha commentedHi Gordon
You do this module just for you alone?
No explanations, no examples, like many of the module here.
Ultimately unusable.
Best regards

gordon commentedI use this on a number of my sites, and I even upgraded it up to Drupal 6. This allows me to layout a row in a lot of a lot simpler that theming it esp with indecisive clients Means I can the data around a lot easier and I can do this in front of a client.
