I have just installed Drupal 6.3 and When creating content there is no rich text editor availble.
Is there a way to enable it etc.. also to upload and add photos to content.

Drupal doesn't not ship with a rich text editor. They are available as contrib modules in the downloads area.

Tried to install tinymce but I don't get to see the editor when editing a page... any help on installing

The best tutorial on TinyMCE installation I have found is at: http://mybesinformatik.com/tinymce-and-drupal5. TinyMCE is good but quite heavy and complex. I have moved to using FCKEditor which is lighter but still excellent. You might like to try it.
