I need someone to build me a YellowPages website, which works with the same features as yellowpages.com or superpages.com, and I also need to figure out how to get all that data (business listings) and whether I can get it for free, so I want to the site to already have millions of business listings just like yellowpages.com, with new users able to create their own free listing, access their account to make changes, and the ability to setup premium listings which can be purchased through the site.

Then I want a seperate section which gives the client more info about our SEM services, and has a built in tool that allows them to change thier listing information at anytime, with the same options given on google adwords, so that they can modify thier own google adword listing directly through my site, but at the same time, they could modify all of their ppc campaign with just one submission. What i mean is, we will be advertising for them on a large network, which includes google and yahoo, but some people may want to use the self service ppc campaigns, and what makes ours easier is the fact that they dont have to go to each individual site and change thie rad, they can just change their ad one time, but across the entire network.

Basically, I need to create a website that does everything the other yellowpages sites do. Please send email quotes at eddiemarketing@gmail.com

Thanks,

Eddie

I think you're unlikely to find that data for free. I tried finding something for the businesses and organizations in the Coulee Region for my area directory and had no luck. Even the local chamber of commerce would only sell me mailing labels. I found some companies with databases but it was all big bucks.

Data

True, but if you start small, you can grow from there. I can start with 1 US state, then expand with time. You can get the data from infousa, and yes its expensive, but not for smaller amounts.

Data

I just found the data for the entire US Businesses 12 million, for $499, with updates available every 2 months for $99, and you own the data, not rent. I also found another site that sells the data for $39.99 for 7 million, but I didn't see anything about updates, so I don't know how accurate their data is.

I am still looking for someone. I am an entrepreneur with a plan. I have a limited budget, but I am not expecting the best deal on the planet. I need someone to build me a yellowpages site, with most of the functionality yellowpages.com has or other big name yellowpages. I can get the data myself.

Oh and i need that same person to take care of the site on a continuous basis.

.

Where did you find it for $39.99? I really only need data from the local area which is a radius of about 30 miles or so. My site is a hobby, so $499 is way beyond me. $40 is doable, though.

Good luck with finding someone to build it. That's a pretty big project. Unfortunately, my module that would make this easier is still a ways off.

Hi Eddie I may have the

Hi Eddie

I may have the platform AND data that you need and perhaps there’s an opportunity for us to work together.

I head up Brownbook.net in the UK. We just added US, Canada, and Australia data. We have most of the features you talk about, plus an opensearch API that you may be able to use.

Also mobile platform is here: http://m.brownbook.net

We are keen to establish ‘local’ partnerships in each country, so why don’t you drop me a line, tell me a bit about yourself, perhaps this is a good way to proceed?

Regards
