Event Teaser Views

It'd be great if event views could be edited without going into the .css files. The standard view has the information I want to display, but I'm not happy with the layout of that information. In other content types I can create views that show/hide and position the various node elements (fields) how I want them....but in the case of EVENTS, these are all part of a single $teaser variable....there aren't individual teaser variables shown on the view template.

Perhaps someone can tell me how to call up the individual field values from the Event in the template window.
