Hi,
I just wonder what is the differences between this module and cck map module ?
On paper, it seems the same.
thanks,

derhasi commentedIn CCK Map you get a location by clicking on it in a GoogleMap (this will only be longitude and latitude as i know) => setting some marker on GeoData.
With CCK GMapAddress you will type some Address in a textfield and the CCK field is shown as a GoogleMap of this location (after the address was validated). It stores Address, Longitude and Latitude (and accuracy). => Shows some address field as GoogleMap

zmove commentedOk thank you for this explaination.
A very last question : do you have an estimation when a final 1.0 release will be out ? Because maybe I would work on a 6.x port, but I will wait an official stable release to do that.

derhasi commentedThere are several features I'd like to see integrated. Especially:
* Views support
* Radius search
That could be integrated at the end of August, at the earliest. (Because I only can proceed development in my spare time, after having managed some other higher priority projects.)
Everyone who wants to join development is welcome ;)

zmove commentedHi,
Thank you for your answer. The full release will come too late for my needs, so I think I will begin to work on the port of the beta 1. It will give a start for people that want to port the final 1.0 to d6.x.
Gmap module recently released (today ^^) a 6.x version, so I will begin to look through your module to see what to update.

najibx commentedonce you entered the address, in a textfield how exactly it knows the exact location and map it on google map? Or it jkust an approximation? would it need a specific address i.e zip code?
