Is this module abandoned?

I have sent mail via the contact form to the current maintainer doq but still have not received any response.

I have already created a patch to solve the outstanding issues and consider myself well researched on the workings of this module.
If the maintainer does not respond, can I have support from the community to take over maintenance of this project. (Please add your +1 here, if you will)

Once outstanding issues are resolved and tested I am willing to proceed with development of a 6.x version of this module.

Bumping this up to webmasters.

It has now been 2 weeks for this issue and about 2.5 weeks since I tried contacting the maintainer via the do contact form, still no response.

Can I take over maintenance of this project or please indicate what else can be done to get support for this module.

The project owner automatically has CVS write access; the project owner can add additional people to CVS write access via the CVS tab on the project. As you are listed as the project owner, nothing more needs to be done here.

My mistake had the module checked out as anonymous.
