default input filter for nodeprofile cannot be set to full html (using filter_default or otherwise)

Below the body text area entry box for nodeprofile is the Input Format.
I want this to be set to full html by default.
This is particularly helpful for using FCKEditor for the input, so that any formatting made with this is retained.
Otherwise, if Filtered HTML is selected, then some of the formatting seen in the entry is lost in the final submitted content.
When editing their profile, many users on my site would not remember to click the Input Format and select full html to get the desired results and not should they have to - it should be automatic if the FCKEditor or other editor is present.
filter_default is supposed to make setting the default input, for example, to Full HTML a default. This works for other nodes but not for nodeprofile.
Why? Please fix.

hm, nodeprofile doesn't touch anything there. So where doesn't it work exactly, on the user registration form? I suppose it works on node/add/your-profile-type
