On the site I'm working on, we don't need fine-grained control per content type yet. However, we might need that in the future, and this module also looks to be the most maintained. I've attached a patch which adds an "All Node Types" option, so you only need to put in a role and a format once. I'd appreciate it if this could be considered for inclusion into the project.

+1 from me too. Especially nice that I don't have to go in to change the settings after adding a new content type.

This has been totally fixed in core for Drupal 7, and this module looks abandoned, so I'm marking this issue as closed. Feel free to reopen it to ask questions about the patch before committing.
