I was hoping that this module actually turn Admin profile to something useful. When admin is logging in there no task/do list. You have to navigate all the section to see whether there is a user, article, image waiting to be approved.

This module is simple the same as "recent posts" combined with "content".

Workspace just provides a convenient way for an individual user to create/manage their own content.
If you want to provide editorial control you might want to look at http://drupal.org/project/workflow
