I have set up Fast gallery and I can see the pictures when I click on them.
But why does it show grey boxes here:

It shows the pictures now after i updated and uploaded to a new folder and changed the
settings so that Fast Gallery uses the new folder.

Now I just have to setup Imagecache:

Any suggestions?

I made these Imagecache settings and changed the border from 0 to 3 in the css.

Scale width: 100, height: 100, upscale: Yes

With the update I get this warnings:
# warning: imagecreatetruecolor() [function.imagecreatetruecolor]: Invalid image dimensions in D:\AppServ\www\oeg4\sites\all\modules\imageapi\imageapi_gd.module on line 129.
# warning: imagecopyresampled(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in D:\AppServ\www\oeg4\sites\all\modules\imageapi\imageapi_gd.module on line 62.

Sorry, I have the same problem but I do not know where to set the cache...

Go to administer - site building - image cache. There I´ve create two presets:

full - resize 100% 100 % - to show the whole picture when you open it
thumb - crop 100 100 center center - to show just the 100 x 100 center square for the thumbnails
