How to work with Jquery Form Plugin + Drupal Formapi

Hi there
I have little bit trouble work with the Ajax and Form API. I got some ideas from http://www.nicklewis.org/node/930. but i can't make this code work. My form will automatically back to hook_form_submit. After i disable this function i'm not sure where it goes. It doesn't work like the way that link described. Then i look up the drupal API http://drupal.org/node/150859. It really confuse me. Is there any one can give some explanation about this part for how to make it work. I have some project which has most of part about Ajax coming along. Could any one can help? I'll appreciate it!
Requirements
Is any one can explain little bit about how the form submission works in the drupal? I mean the whole flow of the generate the form and submit the form and deal the form. Thanks so much.
