Using site-wide tokens as part of a database you can easily manage through Drupal

I'm looking for a module that will help me define custom messages, save them, and then access them within my nodes or by code using tokens. I know the Token-API module is made to facilitate tokens, but more specifically, I'm looking for the next-level plug in which will allow me to type content in under my admin pages, save it and then come back later to edit or delete without having to hard-code anything in a module file itself.

I imagine there is a module out there that can help do this, but have yet to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
