I am administrating a website in Spanish
but not being a spanish speaker (+ spanish translation is not completed) i would prefer to have the administrator panel in english.
is it possible to set a different language for the admin only?
thanks!

osopolarNormally it worked like this:
- Change your account language to english.
- Set standard language in /admin/settings/language to spanish
but at least in my installation its not working ... do I need to change something somewhere else? Thanks.

ainigma32 commentedIf you're not using global redirect you could try this patch http://drupal.org/node/222401#comment-844115 but that would be the same as hacking core because it will never be applied (the behavior was deemed 'by design')
Please post back whether that works for you.

ainigma32 commentedLooks like no one will be posting any feedback so I'm setting this to fixed.
Feel free to reopen if you think that is wrong.

talino commentedFound this http://drupal.org/project/admin_language. Works for me (for the last hour, at least).

gábor hojtsyDuplicate of #322995: Provide a distinct administration user interface language option. Looks like lots of interest for that. Indeed you can use http://drupal.org/project/admin_language in the meantime.
