Hi, All Maybe some of you know already about me and my activity here on Drupal.org For those who don't:
I'm 48 , unemployed. Very limited resources. I love Drupal and become every Day more confident with it and the most used Contributed Modules. I really am gratefull for this possibility to have access to this Community and of course all of the free Documentation on this Site. My english is not perfect but enough to be already understand and helped here in this Place. Drupal gave me to start to gain some money in making for my Friends and some small Company Sites. So You can immagine my Joy to feel a bit more integrated in the society because I can product something usefull. In retourn I started to make a Site where I collect all the experience I make using und testing Drupal from the point of view of a Begginner.
So it happen that .Dan offered me the possibility to apply for a Documentation account some time ago. I refused because I am not exeperienced enought with the english language so to help out in Drupal Handbook as to not cause much more work with my grammatical errors.
Even if I get some times in trouble with the different way to use my account as a Member and see and understand that the Philosophy of the Drupal Community is based on volontary and no profit support I think that this may be reviewed once some time in the Future.
Drupal have gained such a popularity in the CMS World throughout people like me and of course starting from Dries and all the wonderfull people who partecipate in founding Drupal Association and building this Community.
Surely I'm not as qualified enought to give directives or even suggestions how to give Visitors & members better tools to interact with the Forums, Issues, Queue or the many other parts of the Drupal.org site sections; but i can really see that sometimes you feel lost.
Why?
So, when you have a Problem with using Drupal you can publish a Post in one of the Forums and you will get an answer sooner or Later (Some posting will get an Answer even after 2 YEARS) , That's me.
This is the place I started trying to do something, but it was not intentionally, it come out after hours of looking for POSTs without an answer and with the intention to help out with my achieved knowledge.
1. So I'm asking my self: Can I do somthing to Help out so that on Drupal.org every One gets an answer in a reasonably Period of Time?`
Conseguence: http://drupal.org/node/281050
Edit: wolfflow, I'm answering these questions in the hopes that you're actually interested in the answer, I hope you're not just spamming.
Solution: http://drupal.org/node/281050#comment-943108
2. Second, is it reasonable if I wish for me and for all future Begginners on Drupal.org that I can get a bit of Help
understanding where I have to go if I found my self lost and do not know where should I ask and to what section of Drupal.org refer if I have a query? Yes there is a list of Members (1000s) or even more I'm sure, but I will spend Days in find out who his the right one I can post a query? Did none of you thouth this before?
3. So can I hope that sometime in Future any Member of Drupal.org , after a reasonable time of productive activity on Drupal.org gets the right to correct it's own Issues, Postings. We are all humans and it happen that we make errors and even that we change work of Place and maybe we have put links in Posts that are not anymore under our responsability and we wish to correct? That is possible but in a limited manner:
Example: http://drupal.org/node/288037
Solution: http://drupal.org/node/288460
So Thanks for having patience with me and for the help and contribution to my efforts to be helpfull here.
Thank's
-wolfflow
