Freemind mind map

Hi anyone notes Freemind, a popular free mind mapping software written by java.

website: http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Mind map is a good tool to structure/navigate knowledge and contents.

It has been integrated with many wiki engines.

It would be great if we can have it in drupal.

Thanks,

What would this module do?

What would this module do? There is an existing freemind module, but it appears to be rather unmaintained, and only used for exporting Drupal site structures to freemind.

This is an open-source community-driven project. If you want something done, you either need to do it yourself, or convince/contract someone to do it for you :)

Two Use Cases

Hi,

I can see two use cases:

1) Design platform for Questionnaires

I'm working on a site that will let users create their own questionnaires. A freemind module that enabled users to create their own mind maps and then export them as questions and answers would be make the site significantly more user-friendly.

2) Design and implement Drupal Nodes and User roles

Also, I've been finding myself designing Drupal nodes / user roles , etc first in mindmaps, and then entering them as nodes / user roles, etc. manually. Importing a node or set of user roles or permissions out of a mindmap would make implementing new sites even easier.
